Fresh and Frozen Vegetables and Fruits

ZAK Trading company attempts to fulfill the needs of the local and global markets for fresh and frozen vegetables and fruits by importing from inside the regional area, as a first stage, and from outside, as a second stage. ZAK pays attention to fruits, particularly the citrus, and import the same from reliable resources and entities that bear international certification.

Agriculture Stage:

ZAK cares of the stage of cultivating its products, as it makes sure that the used pesticides conform to the international standards. A certified laboratory shall conduct an examination to analyze the remains of pesticides to prove that the cultivation is free from the remains of pesticides and heavy metals.
The company requires a report issued from a certified laboratory to prove that the cultivation is free from the Hepatitis “A.”

Freezing Stage:

ZAK General Trading makes sure that the cultivation is cooked by vapor and then is exposed to a sudden cooler to keep its nutritional value.

Processing Stage:

Make sure that the fresh vegetables and fruits are sorted and valid for storage.
To process and cut cultivation, it is required to use tools that are washed by licensed disinfectants.
All used equipment shall be made of stainless steel.
Cultivation shall be put in disinfectants to wash and sterilize them to kill germs and bacteria before cooling them.

Packaging and Storage Stage:

ZAK company makes sure that the packing crates for fresh and frozen vegetables and fruits are made of safe material and include no toxic material.
ZAK requires to use hygienically permitted material for typing data on packages as per the permit issued by the Food Safety Authority and the expiry date shall be clearly written.
The company will not accept any packages with leak, dents, bulges, dirt or rust.
ZAK Trading makes sure that the frozen products are not re-frozen.
The company requires a report issued from a certified laboratory to prove that the cultivation is free from the Hepatitis “A.”

Pre-slaughtering Stage:

ZAK Trading pays attention to the pre-slaughtering stage, as it ensures that animals and birds have undergone the veterinary examination to make sure that they have no diseases and issue a certificate in this regard. - The company does not deal with suppliers who inject their animals or birds with hormonal substances such as growth drivers.

Slaughtering Stage:

ZAK Trading focuses on healthy slaughtering and in official abattoirs that match the food safety systems by focusing on analyzing the risk sources as per the instructions issued by the GCC Standardization Organization.
The company requires to slaughter as per the Islamic Sharia.

Post-slaughtering Stage:

Slaughtering process is followed by the next stage of veterinary examination to ensure the cleanliness and safety of meat or poultry and a certificate is issued in this regard.
Making sure that the meat and poultry are free from bruises and spots.
ZAK Trading prevents its suppliers from adding any preservatives or colorants except the official seals.

Freezing Stage:

ZAK Trading cares of the quality of the frozen meat by setting a requirement that the fresh meat shall be frozen after slaughtering with a maximum of 24 hours. The company requires that its frozen products shall be free from any burns resulting from freezing.
ZAK keeps the health of its customers. Therefore, ZAK requires its suppliers to keep freezing and rejects to deal with any products with signs of melting and re-freezing.

Storage and Transport Stage:

ZAK General Trading LLC requires that the temperature of the refrigerators for storing the frozen meat shall not exceed (-18° C).
ZAK company is located in places that are appropriate for logistic purposes such as shipping ports and airports to quickly store the frozen items and keep them.
Fresh or frozen meat is packed in clean packages that are made of known ingredients. It is prohibited to use any recycled material.
